Country Resort

Corbett country resort- Along the southern periphery of the Corbett National Park, 13 kms from 'Bijrani' entrance, is Corbett Country Resort, sourrounded by a reserved forest, with a panoramic view of the mountains in the backdrop.

Eight huts built with local material are comfortable, with all modern conveniences, yet simple and close to nature in design. The huts are spacious with attached modern bathrooms with hot and cold showers.

Wildlife safaris on jeeps and elephants, nature walks in the neighbouring forest and wild life viewing on 'machans', together make it an unforgettable experience.

The evenings have a magic of their own around a campfire where, all sit in relaxed and happy camaraderie, listening to the sounds of the jungle or jungle lore from local inhabitants.

Facilities
Corbett Country Resort has 8 uniquely furnished huts that are mainly made with local material and are very comfortable with all modern conveniences. Very simple and most importantly, close to nature in design. The huts have attached modern bathrooms and the rooms are spacious and there are private verandahs to sit out on, to enjoy the sights and sounds of the jungle. Corbett Country Resort is the only resort which has an electric fence running along its periphery. There is a first aid facility and a doctor on call.

Activities
The resort has to its name an exclusive wildlife library with books on animals, birds and reptiles. Books by Jim Corbett and other internationally acclaimed conservationists and authors, can keep the guests engrossed for hours,A small nature shop equipped with wildlife related memorabilia, paintings, jackets etc. offer wonderfull momentos to carry home.

The varied collection of videos with the resort, make the evenings most instresting and informative. The resort offers a mix of Indian, Continental and chinese cusine. Menues are decided according to the palate of the guests.

Fishing on the Ramganga river (adjoining the park) is an anglers delight. Fishing gear and permits are arranged on request. Day trips to Nainital, a lake and mountain city can be arranged. Over night trips to the beautiful hill retreats of Ranikhet, Almora and Kausani can be organized at clean and comfortable Hotels.
